How to Have a Breakthrough Year in 2009 Despite the Bad Economy

A New President ... A New Year ... A New Beginning ... A New You ... A New Life

This is a message for from "The Universe": "There comes a time in the evolution of every spiritual being, along that sometimes dark road that leads to enlightenment, when their inner yearnings, struggles, and frustrations bring them to a truth that could not have otherwise been realized." Mike Dooley

The New Paradigm Shift ... Are You Ready For Change?: Change is in the air. It is happening right now, and will eventually lead to a complete shift in how we think about our universe and ourselves. Profound collective life changes are set into motion that will eventually affect every one of us. Remarkable people in the past have written about the paradigm shift. It is somewhat evident in the election of the first black president of the United States.

The buzzword in the Obama campaign was Change. Yes, change is what we need, but let us not get it twisted. President Obama is just a man and can only do so much for you. It's important to understand that dependence on any President for your welfare and/or happiness is being unfaithful to God. Another man cannot give you the happiness you desire in life, only God can cause that.

The Change that we need is spiritual change and that is something that we personally have to do. We have to change the way we think, more in alignment with the way God thinks. When we put our faith in God instead of man, the bible says that "nothing will be impossible." I will put it like this, the world's economy doesn't dictate what God can do for you financially if you put your trust in "Him" (spirit) instead of man.

A New Year ... A New Beginning: A new year can be looked upon as a new beginning. That means that in your book of life you're starting a new chapter, or perhaps you want to close the book completely and start anew. Everything that has happened in your life up to now is history. Forget it and let it go if it is bad, and hold on to it to reminiscent and motivate you if it is good. Don't let your past limit or block your happiness or success in the future. If it is bad, you can close the book on it. It has no bearing on the new chapter that you are going to write. In your new beginning/chapter you aren't going to write anything bad that you want in your life; it's all going to positive and good.

Therefore, if you aren't satisfied with the you of the past, it's time to create a new, wiser, better, stronger, forgiving, loving, happier, healthier, and/or more prosperous, more organized and balanced you. The bible gave us a clue when it said, "Be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind." Realize that you're going to have to transform your mind to a new, better more enriching way of thinking. Also, realize that it is humanly impossible to do this by yourself. So let me help you get the understanding/education you'll need to get the divine help you're going to need to re-create yourself into the extraordinary person that you have the potential to become.

Understanding Your Potential: I'm pretty sure that you don't realize your full potential. If you did, you would know that it is possible to create heaven on earth. You would also realize that you don't have to wait to die to go to heaven. I know the world begs to differ, but in due time this truth will be revealed to you.

Zig Ziglar may have said it best about your potential when he said, "You were born to succeed, built to achieve, and endowed with a seed of greatness." The bible said it like this, "All things are possible to him who believes." Let us keep this in perspective; we know that some things and specific dreams aren't possible for you; some things aren't humanly possible. Nevertheless, it is humanly possible for you to co-create/manifest a happy, healthy, long prosperous life. The reason being because of the "God"; aka, divinity; aka, potential (energy); aka, subconscious mind; aka, the power source; aka, life energy; aka, holy spirit in you.

Your potential brings words, e.g.: thoughts/beliefs, to life. In reality, everything you see is the manifestation of words. The creator manifested the universe, and man, the co-creator, manifested the things of the world with the help of God.

However, you must realize that we live in a world of duality; therefore, your potential can also work against you. It can cause positive or negative in your life; it's often called "God" when it causes good and "Satan", "Lucifer" and the "Devil" when it causes bad. That's why it's called potential energy; it isn't positive or negative, but it has the potential to cause positive or negative in your life based on your mindset. Therefore, you subconsciously create your life emotionally, physically and financially based on your mindset.

With that being said, you have been given all the spiritual, physical and natural resources you need to fill the new beginning and next chapter in your book of life with extraordinary happiness, peace, joy, good health and/or prosperity. Remember, it's all in your mindset; the rest is done by "the God in you", e.g.: potential energy. You have been creating and manifesting based on spirituality all your life and you will continue to be for the rest of your life. This life energy is at work twenty-four/seven bringing your deepest beliefs and fears to life. When you fully understand this, you are going to do remarkable things in your life and the lives of others.

CHANGE ... Out with the Old in With the New: John the Baptist said, "Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is near." The nonreligious spiritual clue in that scripture is to Change; meaning change to a better way of thinking, e.g.: your mindset.

The change in particular that we must change is our perspective of "God" from the literal perspective to the spiritual perspective; this will align us with the truth. The bible says, "And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." My interpretation of "set you free" is, stress free, worry free, issue free, drama free, problem free, disease free, debt free and financially free. You can adopt this interpretation if you like.

Think about this, and if it makes sense to you, it's going to be the beginning of freedom from all of the ills of the world. I know that this may sound far-fetched to you right now, but if you go back and study the Gospel in the New Testament, you may see where I get this philosophy.

In other words, we worship God from a worldly and/or religious perspective rather than a spiritual. The bible says, "The day and time will come when my people will worship me in spirit and truth." If the truth were told, this perspective of God limits our higher wisdom and power; therefore, we are left vulnerable to the ills of the world.

However, when we change to the spiritual and true perspective of God, it unblocks our spiritual pathway and allows us to access our full wisdom and power to be used to create a more positive, blessed and fulfilling life.

Therefore, the new you, in your new chapter, must get rid of the erroneous negative subconscious belief that is causing your life to be less than the best emotionally, physically and financially. Some of the things you believe to be true about God, Self and Life are not very true, some may even be false. This is the problem and the cause of the things that you don't want in life, instead of more the things that you do want, e.g.: more happiness, more love, more peace, more joy, more freedom, more money, more balance, etc.

You Must Increase Your Faith: To begin with, you're going to have to increase your faith. In the bible, the Disciples asked Jesus to increase their faith before they began their mission. The bible also says, "If you have the faith of a grain of mustard seed, nothing will be impossible."

Therefore, to increase your faith you have to get rid of all of the junk (erroneous data) that is stored in your subconscious mind. You may not be aware of some of it, but you are aware that it's blocking some of your blessings. It's also limiting your higher wisdom and power to defeat the negativity of the world. You're going to have to replace them with new, better, more positive life-enriching and emotional, physical and financial blessing beliefs that serve yourself and the world better.

To get rid of this negative and limiting stuff, you're going to have to increase your spiritual understanding of self, the universe, God or the God in you, life. It is not what meets the eye, therefore, you're going to have to believe in and trust the spiritual manifestation system of life that has been put in place by the Creator and you're going to have to believe in your God-given ability/potential/possibilities. If you can't, the bible gives you another clue when it says, "It is done unto you in accordance to your belief".

As the saying goes, "Keep doing what you're doing and you will keep getting what you got." I'll say it another way, "Keep thinking and believing like you're thinking and you're going to keep getting what you got." If your thinking (subconsciously) doesn't change, nothing is going to change. If your heart doesn't change for the better, your life won't change for the better. Stop putting your energy/thoughts in the things you're creating in your life that you don't want and put it in the things that you want.

So What Is Motivation? How To Find It, Keep It And Use It

Ok, so the first thing is you need an answer to the question "What is motivation?"

Well, if you look elsewhere on the web and in your local reference library you'll find many, many ideas about this but my favourite place to start is this rather neat description.

"Motivation is having the desire and willingness to do something." (Source: Wikipedia)

You see that's the point, in order to get anything done you need both the genuine desire to achieve the result and also the willingness to spend some time making it happen.

Take this article. For you to see it I needed to genuinely desire that I share my thoughts and I also had to be willing to take time out of my life to get the thing written?

Let's try those questions

Do you often find your get up and go has got up and went?
Ok so perhaps this is a question of another desire getting in the way of the one you feel you should be having? We all have times when we'd really rather be doing anything other than the thing we should be doing and often that's just a lack of desire. The other thing is you could just be unwilling to make the effort - an example could be walking the dog in the rain. You know you ought to do it, and you really want the dog to have it's walk, but it's raining for goodness sake!

Perhaps the motivator here is staying dry and warm in front of the tv?

Poor old dog.

Does work equate to boredom?
If it does then you have two choices, change how you feel about the work you currently do or change the work. In actual fact the latter is rather the easier of the two it just takes more faith and belief to do it.
I did it.
I was dreadfully bored sitting in various offices doing work I didn't believe in and having to do the 7am to 7pm shift just to do the 7 hours work I wouldn't get paid much for.
Realising I had the same two choices anyone else has, I started working in the evenings and weekends and gradually got brave enough to take the bull by the horns and start doing what I wanted to do full time. As the saying inevitably goes, if I can do it......

Do you start lots of projects, and don't finish them?
Ok, taking the thoughts above in mind here then perhaps what's really happening is you enjoy the start of a project because it's new, it's fresh, it's kind of exciting and then as soon as you've got the bit's out of that box from the DIY store and you've looked in vain for any sense in the diagram that came with the wood and the screws, you're well on the way to "I'll get round to it later"
In order for the project to be completed therefore the MOTIVATION needs to equate to the end result not the start of the job, you have to be willing to do the work, put yourself out and do the thing you really didn't want to do in the first place.
I hire someone in - it's cheaper and the shelves stay up.

Perhaps what you need is more MOTIVATION?
Well maybe that's the case but for my money, this is simply part of the much larger puzzle. In order to have a great life, we need to work on ourselves all the time, to learn, to grow, to evolve so that the world around us, while it still may not care about our lack of motivation, is easier to deal with.

Motivation is inside you, you just need to find it, harness it and use it.

Setting Goals And Targets - Make Your Time Count

If you hope to live a life that is purposeful and fulfilling, drifting along, procrastinating, or getting swept up in busyness without clear priorities will get you nowhere. Once you determine your priorities, begin setting goals and targets--these will lead you to accomplish the things you have always wanted to do.

Goals, be they broad or more specific, help us to be purposeful. A goal helps us focus our attention and set our priorities. But a goal may take a long time to reach, so we need to set targets to help us take action and move closer to our goal. For example, if your goal was to become better at introducing yourself to new people, you might set a target of how many new people you will try to meet each weekend for a month.

A target is measurable, specific, and has a time frame or deadline to meet. Targets enable us to become more productive with our time, as we stay on task until we finish a task. Setting a target date helps prevent us from putting things off. Targets are concrete. They hold us accountable to achieve certain results. We can see immediately whether we have met a target or not. If we haven't we can try harder until we do. Once we meet a target, we can celebrate our success and move forward with greater confidence toward our bigger goal.

Put these concepts into action by writing down several of your personal and professional goals. Then for each goal, begin to come up with a set of targets that will help you approach your goal. Put a target date next to each target. What tasks will you need to accomplish by the end of this week and this month? Some people prefer to keep their goals on their computer in electronic format. If you are prone to procrastinate, print out a copy of your goals and targets or write them on a piece of paper to serve as a physical reminder of what you have decided to do. Keep you list of goals and targets accessible as you plan your schedule for each day.

Becoming a more proactive person can be done by simply thinking about your goals, and then breaking them down into smaller, more manageable targets. Start working to complete a task right away and you will be encouraged as you meet one target and move on to the next.
